Design Team Farewell!

Today is my last day with the design team at KLM Designs. Being part of Katy and Sue's team has been a great experience -- the chance to work with a very talented group of ladies. I can't thank everyone enough for all of the inspiration they have been.

This is the Harvest image from KLM.. I colored it with copics, used SU designer paper and a stripe that I had in my scrap bin. The raffia was simply tied to look like a corn stalk... thought something different than a bow would be fun for this card.

The sentiment is SU... and it's appropriate for this posting.. I'm sending a big 'thank you' to Katy and Sue for asking me to be part of their charter group! They have become wonderful friends.

Thinking of You

I needed some cards for friends and family that are going through some difficult times and these two images from KLM Digital Designs were just perfect for my projects. I colored the birdhouse with Copic markers, and resized the image to make some larger flowers, then cut out  for decoration.

This second card is also an image from KLM. I love the clean, crisp look of this card. This calming image reminded me of this sentiment from St. Francis that I had in my collection of stamps, and it’s perfect for the recipient…. but you can use the sentiments that come with KLM’s digital images. There’s often several to chose from.

You're Out of This World

I wanted to share this card made with one of Dustin Pike's newest digital images recently released. I used copics to color and paper pieced all of the images onto the background digi image which I also colored.

In addition to this release, there's a whole lot of really sweet deals over at his blog...lots of great images, and some are sold in lots of ten images for $10. Great deals to check out! I think these images are great for masculine cards.

Design Team News

Well, I've got great news.. I was asked to be on the charter Design Team for KLM Designs. What an honor! This Mom and Daughter team, Sue and Katy, have the cutest resizable digital images just perfect for card-making and scrapbooking ventures.

You can see all of their current images here, many of them are just perfect and in time for Father's Day card-making. But there's more coming officially with the DT kickoff on June 8th. So stay tuned and check back often to see what they and the DT come up with.

I posted this card on my blog a while ago, but thought it was perfect to put back up with Father's Day fast approaching. I colored this image with Prisma and Lyra pencils.. my favorites!

Dustin Pike’s Digital Images

Here’s another image from Dustin Pike’s release yesterday. Since I didn’t have paper with a pirate look, I got on the internet and found a map and printed it.. it already had a distressed look and it was perfect for the background on this card.  This is another great image for a masculine card.

Dustin Pike’s Newest Release

Hi everyone! If you have been following my blog, you know that today is the first weekly release for the Doodle Dragon Design Team. Dustin Pike outdid himself with seven terrific digital images to mark this special event. and the Design Team did such a fantastic job getting ready for this big day. Here’s one of my personal favorites and the first image in this release that I worked on.. I couldn’t resist. ‘Seems like stampers are always on the lookout for masculine-type images, and this one certainly would work very well. Isn’t this little guy cute? This image has lots of personality and could be used for so many occasions. I love the nautical look and it’s so perfect for summer card-making.

And here’s another. These images are perfect for any coloring style you choose. I used Prisma and Lyra pencils for all of my images.
