Sassy Cheryl's Challenge and Craft Critique

Hi everyone and happy Tuesday to you. I hope everyone is enjoying a fantastic day. Here, we are awaiting my in-laws to arrive from the UK... lots going on. Right now it's about the 3-C's... cooking, cleaning, coloring (in that order). We are hoping for some fantastic weather for golf, BBQ'ing and touring.

This week at Sassy Cheryl's challenge, our hostess Kim has put together a challenge to use punches. So, using the mother of all punches, my trusty Zutter Cutter, I created this little refillable post-it note holder.

The inside contains a 3" by 3" post-it note that is adhered using the last note in the stack.  Once it's all used up, I just add a new package. Do you use post-its like I do? I'm a huge list person and have post-it notes all over my desk in my craft grotto.

I'm also entering this in these challenges...

Sew Many Challenges - anything goes
Stamping For The Weekend - to make someone smile and cheer-up
Papermakeup Stamps - alter a notebook
Meljen Designs - dots and spots
Opus Gluei - Season Icons (Spring!)
Mark's Finest Paper - Animals
One Stitch At A Time - furry friends

Before I forget... (duh) I have another article published today at Craft Critique... check out my article on Lyra pencils if you love to color like I do. Craft Critique reporters cover such a great myriad of craft products, supplies, and related material. It's a fantastic resource for us crafty people and very worth becoming a follower... there's lots of great info. And, if you have an item you would like to see reviewed, just drop me a line and I'll see what I can do. I'm always looking for suggestions.

Grab your Sassy Cheryl's digital images and play along with us. Cheryl, our sassy artist, has the cutest images perfect for every occasion and holiday. Lots of new stuff being released today.. so stop by and see for yourself.

Off to put some finishing touches on the Wired Angel's Bed and Breakfast (he-he) for our guests....

For now, cheerio mates!

Friday Findings

Woo-hoo! This is an exciting day for me and I'm glad you stopped by. My first article as Staff Reporter at Craft Critique has been posted and you can read it here -- just don't laugh at my awful mug-shot! Craft Critique has some fantastic reviews pertaining to all sorts of craft supplies and products, and it's not just limited to paper crafting. My article today just might save you a bit of moola and who couldn't use a bit of that these days.

But before you go, here's a quick card for the Christmas Stamping All Year Long challenge this week. Our challenge includes embossing... wet, dry.. our choice!  I did a very clean and simple card this week allowing the coloring of Santa to be the main focus.

In case you were wondering, today is "Make Your Own Holiday Day". The link to this obscure holiday doesn't seem to be working but you can find it at their main page. I think I'll call it "Plan Your Vacation Day". Yup, it's time to plan my next trip as I'm getting a bit antsy. What will you name your holiday?  I'd love to hear some great ideas.

Thanks for stopping by.. enjoy your Friday and weekend. 'Til next time, be safe in all you do.
Happy coloring!

A Great Opportunity

Hi everyone!

Finally I get to share this very exciting bit of news with you.  I have been asked to be a Staff Reporter for Craft Critique! It's been a long time in the making, but the day is finally here that I can tell you about it... and it's official.

I'll be responsible for writing articles on various craft merchandise... things from needlework supplies to papercraft products.  My first few articles will be posted over the next several weeks, so I do hope you will check them out.

If you haven't visited Craft Critique you should as there's a lot of very good and useful information about products that crafters use all the time and products that are new to the market... from markers to die cutting machines, and everything in between. You'll find it invaluable. It's the 'consumer reports' of the crafting world.

And, if you ever have an idea for a product review, I'd love to hear about it. Just drop me a line or leave a comment. Wish me luck peeps!!
