Feeling Very Patriotic

Hello friends.. I hope that you are doing well and enjoying your day. I'm sending special thoughts and prayers to all of my friends in the Joplin, Missouri area.  Such a horrible tragedy and I find myself at a loss of what to say to send comfort.

Today is Sassy Cheryl's challenge, and my sassy sister, Miz Jenny heads up the challenge. The theme she selected is "Patriotic".. so that means we get to color up something in the colors of our nation's flag.  Of course, for me, it's the red, white and blue.

This is one of Sassy Cheryl's first images when she created her challenge and I've probably colored her up at least a half a dozen times for different cards. I guess you could say she's one of my all time favs!!

There's always so many patriotic challenges beginning with Memorial Day and continuing through the summer months. She's just a perfect digi to have on hand.  I printed the image out on watercolor paper, then used Copic markers to bring her to life.  The stars are a Sizzix Die (Stars #2) that perfectly complement her attire.

Hope to see you at Sassy Cheryl's challenge this week, friends!!

Thanks in advance for all the love you leave me when you comment.. and for stopping by. Have a great day, friends!

This is a beautiful card! I love the image. You colored her beautifully and I especially like the great job you did with her hair.

I love her! I'm going to check that site right now. A perfect image for my students to send hero letters with.
