Christmas Stampin's 3-D Challenge

Happy Friday everyone. The joke at our house each Friday as the week comes to an end is that we are another week closer to retirement...Scary thought.. right?  But we don't laugh about it anymore like we did years ago.

Friday is challenge time at Christmas Stampin' All Year Long, (CSAYL) but the first Friday of each month is when the design team concentrates on little paper goodies that make the most adorable packages for holiday gift-giving. Our design team, Maria, is a super whiz creating special boxes, and she did another fantastic job with this template, that I'm sharing with you.

This little keepsake box is perfect for candies, chocolates, jewelry, gift tags, etc.

To coordinate with the poinsettia designer paper, I colored the poinsettia and leaf images with Copics and used embossing powder before cutting them out to embellish the top flap. This cute little box is very versatile, and, of course, the template could be used for any occasion.

CSAYL Gift Set

Happy Friday everyone.. we're heading to a terrific and long weekend here in the U.S. in celebration of our country's independence. I'm sending out a special hello to my friends in Canada as they celebrate "Canada Day".

So, you would think I'd have a card all decked out in red, white and blue. But since it's Friday, it's our day for the Christmas Stampin' All Year Long challenge. The first Friday of each month is when the design team concentrates on making special 3D projects that are perfect for Christmas giving.

Our challenge project for this week is this peek-a-book box and you can find the tutorial on Splitcoast. It's super easy... and super quick to put together. I promise!!

Christmas Stampin' Gift Set Challenge

Hello everyone.. and welcome to a gorgeous Friday.

This week at Christmas Stampin' All Year Long it's time for a gift set challenge. We set aside the first Friday of each month as the day we deviate from our regular Christmas card challenge. It's a nice change of pace and we are getting Christmas projects completed now instead of when the holiday rush hits.

Our very talented hostess, Maria, puts together some of the best tutorials for projects and today is no exception. Here's my take on Maria's challenge for this week.

and a peek at the inside of the gift purse

I decorated the inside of the gift purse a bit differently than Maria did in her tutorial. I created a pouch using cardstock with an opening at the top so a photograph could be slipped inside. Maria did her sample using CD envelopes, so take a look.
