Celebrate Freedom with Sassy Cheryl!

Hi peeps! Happy Tuesday to all of you.  Today I've got a card to share with you for our second challenge from the very talented Sassy Cheryl. Cheryl has some of the cutest digital images that just beg to be colored with just about any medium you can imagine. Today I chose to do some watercoloring as I've been away from a paint brush much too long.

This week our very talented design team hostess, Tracy, provided us a fun sketch challenge.

As soon as I saw the stars, I immediately thought of this adorable image (although it doesn't have to be stars.. it can be flowers or anything you'd like). Thinking ahead (now that's a concept!), it's a card that I'll send to my elderly uncle for Flag Day in early June. We are a very patriotic and proud family interlaced with many who served or are presently serving in our country's military. There are so many very special and selfless people serving our terrific country.

I printed this image onto a lightweight (90lb Canson) watercolor paper (this doesn't jam in my computer) and colored it with Dr. Ph Martin's transparent watercolor paints.

Check out our challenge and see what the Sassy Girls have put together for inspiration. Through a random drawing, Sassy Cheryl is offering a $5.00 gift certificate to her shop to one lucky participant!

'Til next time, have fun, color it up, and be safe it all you do.

Details: Sentiment is Stampendous, Neenah white cardstock, Neenah Red Pepper cardstock, misc. navy cardstock, Canson 90lb watercolor paper, DP SU and various from my stash, Doc Martin's transparent watercolors, Sizzix Primitive Hearts die, button and twine from my stash.
