For this fun event, I've created a few cards in honor of July 4th, as we celebrate our independence. Ultimately, these will be sent to my oldest son currently in Army Boot Camp who is faithfully following the footsteps of his father, uncles, grandfathers, and great-grandfathers. We are a very patriotic family and are very proud of all those who have served our country.
So, one card just wouldn't do in our household... I had to make several to send to my special soldier. This first card is made with stamps from Paper Inspirations and the Heather collection of Judith Stamps. I'll save this card to give to him at graduation from Basic & Specialty training on September 11th.. how poignant that day will be.
This second card is made using the interactive stamps from Art Impressions... specifically, the 'Door Ways' series. The uses of this line of stamps for different holidays and occasions are endless, and making cards with these are one of my favorite past times. Again, this was colored with Copic markers.
My final card was made using an old stamp that I've had for a while. It's so old that I don't even know the manufacturer. I'll just call her Ms. Liberty, but if you know the maker, I would love to hear.Hop over to meet Julie, see her lovely blog and the beautiful items she will be sharing with us.
Thank you so much for stopping by. Enjoy your day as you celebrate our freedom. As we pause to celebrate our independence, please say a special prayer to remember our troops. God bless them and God bless our great country. And most importantly, we should never forget...our freedom isn't 'free'.
Three cheers for the red, white and blue~

I too am proud to be an American and to have family that served and is serving in this great country. My late husband retired from the US Army after 23 years of service and was in Korea and VietNam, my nephew was killed in Iraq on 9/11/04, and my grand-son-inlaw is serving in Afghanistan. I will remember your son and all our service men and women in my prayers
