The challenge is always about shabby chic, vintage designs and the theme for this week's reunion is "family". So, I chose to alter a notebook that could be used for family recipes, photos, or just about anything. .
This is a simple lined spiral notebook that I found in a sale bin somewhere. I glued designer paper to the cover, cut hearts with a Sizzix die and added buttons and twine, used vintage inks to distress everything and added the tiles and ribbons. We are avid Scrabble players and I pulled these from an old game that had some pieces missing. It's always fun to use something unusual and unexpected in card-making and paper projects.
