Sugar Creek Hollow Heads to the Beach

Welcome to another Sensational Saturday at Sugar Creek Hollow... This week we have a theme challenge and we're heading to the beach. Most people don't think about the beach in the middle of winter, but we are doing it... because it's a nice change of pace from the holidays, and, who doesn't like to look forward to a vacation for fun in the sun.

Our Design Team has created wonderful cards for this theme and you can check out their cards once you are at the challenge page

One random winner will receive a digi of our choice and a winner's badge to display. In addition, the Design Team will choose one project as Card of the Week and the creator will receive a badge and will be in the running for a Guest Designer spot.

Is that called a cabana that they are sitting in?  I'm not sure what they are called, but I know beach goers could rent them many, many moons ago (no, I'm not that old.. my grandmother told me!!) I think it's funny that he's in a business suit and she's in a swimsuit. Don't you agree?

Let me tell you a bit about my vintage/shabby chic card. I just sat down at my craft desk and just began to pull things together.. with no particular color scheme in mind. The image of the couple cuddling at the beach is from E-Vint. Designer papers are a mixture of SU and The Paper Studio The ticket is from Tim Holtz' Ideaology collection "Lost and Found". The fabric is upcycled from old clothing and I wrote the sentiment usng a Micron pen. The chipboard heart is SU and covered with scrap DP. The glitzy scroll is leftover from my Christmas card making. The ribbon is seam binding that I tinted with a mixture of translucent watercolor paints (Doc Martin) and Old Paper Tim Holtz Distress Ink.

So please come and join us at Sugar Creek Hollow this week.. it's a fun challenge that I think you will enjoy. Thanks so much for stopping by and saying hello. Have a fantastic day!

Stunning Peggy, I love all of the elements and the way you just keep adding until you have a piece of art. I am really in love with the way you rolled the paper back from your image.
Take care and enjoy your weekend.
