These are just some of the recipe ingredients from Dorcas' project that I elected to use to create this gift box...
Patterned Paper – Stripes and mini print
Colors – Blue, Brown and Green
Embellishments – flowers
Tools – Border punches and die cuts
Techniques – other paper box
Theme – Spring
Shapes – Circles scallops
Miscellaneous - Gift Box
With all of the talk of recipes and ingredients, my inspiration happened to come from the kitchen pantry. My project begins with an empty salt box...
I carefully cut off the top and stripped it down to nothing...
added a cover of designer paper...
cut into the extra top piece to cover the lip of the box....
and secured it in placed with sticky tape.
After creating a lid for the top out of nesties circles and scallops (sorry, I didn't pictures of this step), I covered the edges with a coordinating designer paper and created a bouquet for the top with various Prima flowers and stems.
It's just the perfect size for homemade cookies... yum-o!
Our sponsor this week is Paper Garden Projects (http://papergardenprojects.com/). Catherine has offered a $20 gift certificate to her shop for one lucky entrant in our challenge this week. Hmmm... that's a lot of shopping!
Hope to see you at our challenge, friends! In the meantime, enjoy your day and have a great weekend!
Thanks for stopping by my little spot in blog land!

Peggy, this is absolutely stunning! Never would have guessed it was a salt container. I really love the flowers on the top!! Thanks for sharing and for the inspiration, as always! Hugs!
OMGoodness how dang clever is this! Beautiful, Peggy!
what a perfect container for yummy cookies
Oooo, I love it even more every time I see it. What a great idea to use the salt container, and thanks for the smart tutorial. Hmmm, wonder how many dishes I can make to use up the salt and get to the container.
Peggy, I love this idea! It's so lovely! No one would guess it's just a lowly salt container. I'm going to have to try this! Hmmm....what to do with the salt so that I can use the box? LOL!
Oh my Peggy this is absolutely beautiful what wonderful flowers and colours I love this so much.

This is beautiful and so "thinking outside of the box", lol. I was wondering what you used, but I never would have guessed what you used. The colors are great. Hugs, dj1952
