On The Other Side of Christmas

Yup... we made it, didn't we? We survived the holidays despite all of the rushing around, madness and craziness that comes with it and we managed to get to the other side of Christmas. I hope each of you had special quiet time along the way creating new special memories.

For me, I spent time here and there with my family and friends enjoying their company, good food, great wine and lots of laughs. With my oldest son,, Thom, currently stationed in Afghanistan, I made a "Thom-on-a-stick" to bring along with me wherever I go so he could be part of my activities. There's lots of pics on my FB page of Thom-on-a-stick, but thought my blog friends would like to also see what I've been up to. This is Thom-on-a-stick meeting my sister at the airport on Christmas Eve (she salutes with the wrong hand!) and we think she might be a Communist!! HA!

For Sassy Cheryl's challenge today, Hostess Ann set the theme as the color Blue. This adorable image from Sassy Cheryl's collection was perfect in a night-time sky setting.... created with my Copic airbrush system (I'm loving that more and more). I added liquid applique to the snowflakes, and puffed them up with a heating gun.  It's hard to see, but the ground cover is a piece of cardstock I embossed in a Cuttlebug folder and added some sparkly glitter flakes.

I do hope that you will join us at Sassy Cheryl's challenge.

I'm also entering this in these challenges

Aw,I love the Thom on a stick. Please tell real life Thom that there's a lot of people appreciating what he's doing and hoping he gets home to his family soon so he can be photographed with his mom as Real Thom with his Thom on a stick!

Love this card, the texture of the snowflakes and the swirl of the embossing folder adds a great touch - but that little cutie enjoying the flakes is perfect!

Thanks for sharing this with us at the Opus Gluei!
