A Very Vintage Christmas

Today at Christmas Stamping All Year Long (CSAYL) we've got a challenge to make a vintage Christmas card. That can be interpreted to be antiqued, distressed, tea-dyed, frayed papers and embellishments, old postcards, etc. Sometimes I really want to deviate from coloring for a change of pace. This challenge was perfect.

I began my project using Brown Memento ink to stamp my image onto white cardstock and used a pink copic marker to color the Eiffel Tower (damn, I miss that place). I rubbed pink, green, lt. blue and yellow and coral chalks on the entire image, tea-dyed the edges... and then covered it with four coats of UTEE. After heat setting and allowing it to dry, I cracked the finish and gave it a light coat of more tea dye ink. My background paper is made using tea dye and a mistletoe stamp from SU. The lace is seam binding that I also stained with tea dye ink.

Hope you like it... maybe you'll be inspired to join us at the CSAYL challenge. And guess what..there's only 190 days 'til Christmas!!
