Knit one, purl two...

If it's Thursday, it's time for our weekly challenge at Mo's.  For the month of March our design team member Cathy Edgar will hostess, and she's kicked off her series of challenges with a color challenge. - to make a card or 3-D project in blue, brown and one neutral. She's one talented lady.. so this month is bound to be a lot of fun.

I pulled out this image of Mummu and Virginia.. a darling lesson of one generation passing the wonderful art of knitting to a younger generation. I've been on both sides of knitting lessons.. it sparks wonderful memories.

You know I don't like too many embellishments that take the attention away from the image, but I just had to make this little set of knitting needles and a ball of yarn to add to the twill tape bow.

I cut down some toothpicks, and simply glued small black wooden beads to the end. 'Just some ideas left over from my days working on miniature shadow boxes and doll houses.

'Hope you enjoyed your visit, because I appreciate you stopping by. 'Til next time, be safe in all you do.

Beautiful card, my mum visited me from England last Fall and I had her teach me how to knit! I'm still in the dishcloth stage, but it allows me to learn and practise different stitches!

All I can say is WOW! The coloring is perfect as is, NO surprise and I love the little embellishments. You must have a 'crap' load of stuff in your studio.
Great job.
