Monday Musings

Wasn't that a terrific Superbowl? What a pleasure to see the Saints win.. that town sure could use something good to celebrate. I'm not into football like I was years go and now enjoy the commercials.. but that game was great from the kick-off! The advertising world does such a fantastic job and my favorite commercials were those little tykes talking up a storm for E-Trade! Did you have a favorite?

So, once our party guests left and the dishes were cleared, guess where I went. Yep! ... off to the Wired Angel's Craft Grotto! I've had a few images all colored up just waiting for some designer papers and cardstock and a little mojo ingenuity.

These darling digital images are from a new artist on the stamping scene, Cheryl Alger... aka "Sassy Cheryl".. If you are feisty like me, you gotta love a name like that! There's a group at Paper Craft Planet of ladies who are already hooked on her whimsical images. Cheryl is putting together her charter design team.. so check it out!

This little patriotic lass (I Pledge Allegiance) just begged some coloring. Actually, it reminded me of me in a march down Fifth Avenue in NYC to show our support for soldiers in Viet Nam (yep.. I'm that old but don't tell anyone.. it's our secret!). Those knobby knees look like mine. I'm saving this card for when my son is deployed, which hopefully isn't too soon!

This was colored using Prisma pencils and OMS. I just love her whimsical and very patriotic look.

This second card, also a Sassy Cheryl image, is Figure Eight Snowman.. and it was colored with Copic markers. I've been in a pink and green mode lately. This is a great color combination for winter cards.. and a nice change from the typical Christmasy and drab winter colors.

Using a 0.5" Pentel pen, I drew a figure eight to 'ground' this little fella... yes folks, I drew it. Do you remember my self portrait from last year.. it was scarey!

I hope that you have a terrific Monday filled with lots of mojo! Until next time, happy crafting.. and be safe in all that you do!

Ciao for now...

Hello Peggy,
You did an amazing job on these. I swear, I might just have to break out my Prisma Colors and do one of my own images....if I had the time!

Cheryl, you draw a "mean" figure eight! But more than that -- you know how to color and put a great card together -- they are both such happy cards.

There was a Super Bowl?? LOL Just kidding, I knew about the Super Bowl but had to ask hubby the day of who was in it! I don't watch TV very much so I'm clueless.

I want to re-name my room the Craft Grotto--I love that! Excellent work as always!
