Some Holiday Projects

Happy Monday everyone!

I had a terrific weekend getting into the Christmas spirit creating cards and various projects. My friend Sally and I are getting ready for a holiday boutique in our area and have been whipping up all sorts of projects. I made this little gingerbread house as a sample using a new die cut that I got... I'm not sure that I would want to make hundreds of these, but 20 or so will be fine. I've filled this one with cocoa mix, marshmallows, and some peppermint sticks.

Do you have those evenings when you try to get to sleep but your head is so full of ideas... sketches, layouts, etc. Well, I've had this card in the back of my mind for a few weeks now. 'Finally got around to trying my hand at putting it all together.  I used many layers of crystal lacquer on the poinsettias after coloring with copics, then paper pieced them on to the cardstock and designer papers.

Here's a close-up of the lacquered flowers

It was rather time-consuming waiting for all of the layers to dry, but I like the end result.

I hope you enjoy these projects. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!

Great projects. The gingerbread house is adorable and those poinsettia are amazing. They look like glass or spun sugar. My ideas keep me up at night too.
