Happy Earth Day!

How did you celebrate Earth Day today? There’s so many things that we could do to be ‘green’…our kids are depending on us!

Early this morning. I played golf.. but my very evil twin “Margaret” got to play more than I did.. My evil twin never pays for golf, has never had a lesson. She doesn't even know how to hit a golf ball! What does that tell you? Yes, she shows up when she’s not supposed to! I played so lousy I could scream…. but it’s all because of my evil twin.

However, the trees, flowers and shrubs everywhere I went, throughout the golf course, were absolutely beautiful…. finally it’s Spring in Kansas! Lilacs, daffodils, tulips, hostas and more, are everywhere.

And then, after golf, because I didn’t abuse my body enough, I did some planting because it’s Earth Day.. My neighbor, Dee Ann, has lots of plants that she wanted to divide. This was wonderful for us… we still have lots of space to plant, but now have so much to plant based on her generosity! Thank you Dee Ann!

And, when I made a card today, I pulled papers from my scrap bin. Now, that’s also “GREEN”. If I ever host a challenge, you can count that I will ask participants to pull only items from their scrap stuff!!! (just a heads-up ladies!).

I have lots of good scraps, so I can hang with a scrap challenge.

My 8yo daughter got a garbage bag and taped it to her bike and rode around the yard picking up litter (we don't really have any, but...). It was really cute watching her. She finished up and laid the trash bag on the ground and played on the swingset. Hubby went out later and picked up the trash bag and asked me what it was doing there. I told him Elizabeth decided to pick up litter for Earth Day and then littered.

Your golf story has me giggling - you see my hubby was a golf pro for over 25 years before leaving to become a pastor. So I was always in awe when I watched him play - still am really.

I love to re-use when I stamp, so I can't wait to see what kind of challenge you come up with. In fact, you would be surprised how much of your packaging on stamping supplies is fun to re-use for your projects. just let your imagination soar!!! ;)
