Christmas Stamping!

Hi everyone!  It's Friday and time for the challenge at Christmas Stamping All Year Long.. and this week it's another fun challenge, so I hope you will play along. It's all about using punches... so check out what the Design Team has put together as inspiration.

When I saw that the challenge was about punches, I knew I had to make this card with it's clean and simple look. The door and panels are made out of cream linen cardstock and the wreath was created using a leaf punch (over and over and over!)

Really easy, right? I antiqued the edges of the door panels with tea dye, added a tiny satin bow to the wreath along with some stick-on jewels. I got the inspiration from something similar in the Elizabeth Moad's Quick and Clever Christmas Cards book... gotta give credit where it's due!

Thanks for stopping by.. I appreciate your comments. 'Til next time, have fun crafting, and be safe in all you do.

Challenge at Mo's Digital Pencil

Happy Thursday everyone.. it's tax day here in the U.S.... aren't we just the luckiest!! Yikes.. this is my absolute least favorite day of the year!.

But onto fun and positive things. It's challenge day at Mo's and this week I have the honors of hostessing... so I came up with a sketch.

and here's my take.

I can't tell you how many times I have colored this image from Mo's... I never tire of it and just love the sepia tones she used to create this little gem.  This is so perfect for Mother's Day.. don't you think? You should see all of the great inspiration that the DT has put together...

I'm also adding this little cutie to these challenges:

All that scraps - Distressing
Papertake Weekly - Cuteness
One Stitch at a Time - Distressing

Thanks so much for stopping by... I appreciate your comments too!  'Til next time, happy coloring... and be safe in all you do!

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge

Hi everyone.. It's time for our weekly challenge at Sassy Cheryl's. Our talented DT member, Jackie, is the hostess this week and her challenge is to create a card or project with a Sassy Cheryl boy and include the color combo cream and blue. I've been looking at this image on my desk for a while and it was perfect for this challenge. But there are many others that would be perfect too.

I have to be honest about this.. yup.. it's 'fess-up time. I can never remember the names of all of the images, so I'll just refer you to her store. That way you get to browse a bit too. I hope you will join us.. Sassy Cheryl's images are a lot of fun to color up!

Thanks for stopping by... and I appreciate your comments too. 'Til next time, be safe in all you do.

Sweet Treats & Easter Projects

Hi everyone.. I'm just trying to catch up on some posting... these are things left over from Easter and the last few weeks that I didn't get to post.

These little darling chocolate bars were a result of inspiration from my friend Judy (Jaydekay on PCP).. she made something similar for a Sassy Cheryl's challenge. I quickly remembered the chocolate I bought for Easter that I hid so my family wouldn't help themselves before Easter.. problem was that I hid them so well even I couldn't find them! Using inspiration from Judy, I CASEd it up a bit.

This cute little bunny image is a digital image from Isabella's Sketchbook.

Here's just a few more of my last minute Easter cards and paper projects that I haven't had the chance to get posted.

Some House Mouse images for Easter baskets for the dinner table...(sans the chocolate)

A darling Easter card that never got mailed.. .(yikes!!)

Another Easter card (image from Sassy Cheryl's) that never got mailed... (super yikes!)

Made 25 of these little purses for a wedding shower for a friend...

and my Sis and I decoupaged eggs for the mantel...

Whew... 'glad that's finally done.

AND... if you need something to celebrate, tomorrow is Blame Someone Else Day... you know I'm not making this up. You can read all about it at the link. So, if you are into finger-pointing you have a great excuse!

Thanks so much for stopping by.. 'til next time, happy coloring and be safe in all you do.

Sunday Capers

Hello everyone.. I hope you are enjoying a beautiful Sunday, great temps, and signs of Spring.

I've got a quick post today. After lots of Spring cleaning (you know, the deep stuff) I finally took a break to relax and color up a few things. I pulled out some long-neglected stamps and water-colored this Flourishes poppy using SU reinkers with the twinchie challenge in mind.. it was about the only Flourishes stamp I had that I could get into a 2" square. I was a bit too tired for anything too busy and complicated.

I'm entering this in these challenges:

Flourishes - create a twinchie
Raise The Bar - Spring
Charisma Cards - Thank you

Thanks for stopping by... 'til next time, enjoy some happy coloring.
