Christmas Stamping All Year Long

Hi everyone.. I have a quick post today.. we're closing in on tax time and that means fun, fun, fun here at the Wired Angel's homestead!! (Yeah, right!! - I'd rather have a root canal minus the anesthesia).

Every Friday it's time for the Christmas Stamping All Year Long (CSAYL) challenge. Check out what the DT has put together using this color combo.. and the cool thing is that you can use any image from any company to play along.

This week our hostess is Patty and her challenge is for us to make a Christmas card with violet (purple, lilac), ivory and gold. At first I really pondered this. But this darling snowman digi image from Sassy Cheryl's was just perfect for this project and he really came through for me.

I cut this image using a Nesties die but left his little carrot nose outside of the die and this technique accents it a bit.  Here's a closer look.

I've got so many Christmas cards ready for the holidays.. I promise myself that I will have a stress-free holiday with cards and little papercrafted gift items ready.

Our Challenge at Mo's

Hi everyone... Happy Thursday! Today's card is for our challenge at Mo's. This week is our 26th challenge... a half a year already. It's hard to believe how time flies.

I have the honor of hostessing this week's challenge and did a 180 degree turn from last week's pastels... This week it's all about black, kraft, white AND whatever colors you would like to use... the sky is the limit!

Since I'm a bit of a Christmas freak, and I hadn't colored this image before, I had to color-up this darling Christmas bunny from Mo's Digital Pencil. I kept this image as the main focus without any other frills. There's some glitter under his feet that might be hard to see in this photo.

This is "Mary, Mary", a digi from Isabella's Sketchbook, a new digital company on the scene. She was colored with Prismacolor pencils and there's a bit of Spica glitter pen in her bow and flowers.  Designer paper is from my stash.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge

Hi everyone.. I hope your Easter was terrific and filled with great friends and family and lots of Easter goodies and memories! We had a terrific day with my Sis visiting from the Orlando area for a long weekend....lots of kitchen capers and a bit of crafting too. She's decided she loves Copic Markers~ But boy it goes by so quickly.

Tuesdays are Sassy Cheryl's challenge days and our hostess this week, the very talented Jackie, has a terrific challenge for us. This week we are to use a Sassy Cheryl girl in our card or project and include ribbon. Well, I have to 'fess up... I got my card made, took the photo, and then realized I had forgotten the ribbon.. so into my stash I headed for a quick retake!

Christmas Stamping All Year Long

It's Good Friday.. and I'm posting a Christmas item.. go figure!!

But Fridays are our weekly challenge at Christmas Stamping All Year Long and we didn't take the day off. And the first Friday of each month is our 3-D challenge. This week Maria, our Design Team hostess, provided the DT with a template for a box that comes in three different sizes. I chose to make the largest of the boxes which is perfect for a huge stack of homemade shortbread cookies. Yum-O!

The directions for assembly are easy to follow and it's quick to make...you can find the template here. It's hard to see, but this designer paper has just the slightest tint of pale blue throughout, and the blue ribbon and snowflakes accent it very well.
